What is the difference between the Basic Rate and Flex Rate?

Modified on Thu, 19 Sep at 10:34 AM

We have been facilitating tee-time bookings for quite a while now. Through conversations with golfers and by analysing our data we found out that there are basically two types of bookers:

  • golfers who book last minute (0-2 days before their tee time) and who are already at their golf destination
  • golfers who book further in advance and who want (or need) more service

The Basic Rate

The basic rate is meant for those golfers booking pretty last minute. They are often past the cancellation window of the club (generally 48 hours), so if they book they wouldn't be able to cancel any more. That also means that we don't have to put a lot of effort (after-sales support) into this booking. The basic rate is our no-thrills and lowest rate possible. You get a very good rate, but don't expect extra support from our side.

The Flex Rate

The flex rate is meant for golfers who book further in advance and who need more service. The flex rate enables golfers to do the following:

  • golfers remain flexible and are able to cancel their booking - if they follow the cancellation period -, no questions asked.
  • golfers can decide to 'pay later', so we will deduct the money for their tee time the moment they get on the tee. Please note that not all courses allow the PayLater option.
  • golfers are able to add rental services to their tee time booking like a buggy or rental set. Our Customer Support team will arrange this with the club, so they will call them on your behalf.
