Cancellation of your tee time booking (amount paid in full online)

A. Verify if you are eligible for cancellation

We realise that plans can change and that something can happen with your flight or your health. To ensure that we can help you quickly and efficiently please check first that you are eligible to cancel your tee time.


You can check this by doing the following:

  • please verify that you have opted for the cancellation fee. In the checkout process, you could tick the 'cancellation option'. If you didn't select this option, then unfortunately we cannot help you. We advise you to file a claim for the money you paid via your travel insurance company.
  • if you couldn't select the cancellation fee, then most likely you could choose between the basic or flex rate. The flex rate is a new service and includes the option to cancel, but also to pay later and reserve a buggy or rental set (if available). If you selected the basic rate, then unfortunately we cannot help you. We advise you to file a claim for the money you paid via your travel insurance company.  

To summarise, we can only help you if you've selected the cancellation option or the flex rate

In all other cases, please claim the money via your travel insurance company.

B. Cancelling your tee time

If you ticked the cancellation option or have chosen the flex rate then the booked tee time can be cancelled within the indicated cancellation period (in general 48 - 72 hours before the start of your tee time).


Please make sure that you are still within the cancellation period. You can check this in your account or in your confirmation mail. If this cancellation period has passed, then it is not possible to cancel your tee time anymore.


Tee time bookings can be cancelled in real time via the following options:

  • the link in your booking confirmation email (check your personal email inbox or junk folder)
  • the 'my bookingspage in your Leading Courses account (website or app)
  • creating 'a support ticket' for our Customer Support department


You need to have an account to cancel your booking via your account. If you checked out as a guest, then just sign up with the same e-mail address of your booking and the booking will show up in your account, with the option to cancel.


Please note that connected golf clubs work with different cancellation periods. This can vary from 48 hours to 72 hours and sometimes even a week or more prior to booked tee time. Some golf clubs have chosen not to offer the ability to cancel at all.


C. How much do I get refunded when I cancel within the cancellation period?


Flex rate: If you have chosen the flex rate, then you will receive the total amount back into your account. The money is refunded based on the payment method you choose. Credit card refunds generally take longer. 


Cancellation option: If the €5.00 cancellation option is chosen during the time of booking, then you will receive the total amount (excl. €5.00 cancellation fee and reservation fee) back into your account. The money is refunded based on the payment method you selected. Credit card refunds generally take longer. 


D. What if I did not purchase the cancellation option or the flex rate?


Unfortunately, we will not be able to reimburse the cost of the booking. We must follow the cancellation policy stated in section 12 of our Terms and Conditions. These policies were set in consultation with the golf clubs. In essence, the golf clubs are the ones determining the cancellation options, not us. 


We advise you to contact your insurance company. In some cases, they will reimburse you through your travel or cancellation insurance. 


E. What if you paid a reservation fee and want to cancel the reservation?


If you only paid a reservation fee of 12.50 then you didn't actually make a booking but a concierge reservation. We reserved the tee time on your behalf but you still need to pay the green fee at the reception of the golf club. 


If you want to cancel your reservation, just e-mail or call the golf club directly. The club contact details are mentioned in your confirmation mail.
