As a member of Leading Courses, you can earn points by contributing to the quality and completeness of the website. For example, you earn points by writing a review, adding a photo or liking someone else's review. Every time you earn points, you get closer to the next reputation level.
We currently have four levels which are based on your community activity:
- steel (only signed up, no reviews yet: 0 points)
- bronze (1-500 points)
- silver, (501 - 2000 points)
- gold (2000 points and more)
The higher your status, the higher your credibility on Leading Courses. We believe that if you have written many reviews about different golf courses, you probably have quite some experience, allowing you to more accurately assess the quality and beauty of a golf course. So, the higher your status level, the more impact your review has on the overall club rating.
Our community can also use these status levels to filter reviews of a specific golf club.
Status levels on a review overview page
Here are some of the ways to earn more points:
- Review (or like) a review of someone else (thumbs up): 1 point
- Upload a photo of a golf club: 5 points per photo (max. 55 points)
- Receive a 'like' from someone else on your review: 5 points
- For each completed item (e.g. gender, geographic location) in your profile: 10 points
- We like reviews that are as complete as possible. The more complete the review, the more points it is worth. You receive 50% of the points for the review for rating the club on 7 individual items and 50% for writing a motivational text with your review. In total, you can earn a maximum of 100 points with your review. Good luck and play well!
Special status levels
In addition to these four levels of reputation, we have several special levels for golfers with a unique status. These status levels can only be handed out by us.
- golf journalists who are able to judge a golf course in a professional way can receive the expert status
- The pro status is reserved for golf professionals (teaching and playing).
- An ambassador is an active member of our platform that has played and reviewed a considerable amount of golf courses and is an active representative of the Leadingcourses brand
- Photographers can upload their professional (golf) photos on Leading Courses while ensuring that we can't use their photos without their consent. Uploading photos with a photographer status will enable us to use Article 17 of our General Terms and Conditions.
We will ask for proof before handing out these special status levels.
