How do status levels work?

You earn points by contributing to Leading Courses. Your points decide your status:

• Steel: 0 to 499 points
• Bronze: 500 to 1,999 points
• Silver: 2,000 to 4,999 points
• Gold: 5,000 points or more

The higher your status, the more weight your reviews carry in a club's rating. Golfers can also filter a club's reviews by status.

How to earn points

• Write a review: up to 100 points (50% for rating the 7 items, 50% for writing a text)
• Upload a photo of a golf club: 5 points per photo (max. 55 points)
• Receive a like on your review: 5 points
• Like someone else's review: 1 point
• Complete an item in your profile (such as gender or location): 10 points

Special statuses

We also award these special statuses. We will ask for proof first.

• Expert: golf journalists who can judge a course professionally
• Pro: playing and teaching golf professionals (see How do I get pro status?)
• Ambassador: very active members who represent Leading Courses, by invitation only (see How do I become an Ambassador?)
• Photographer: professional photographers. We can't use your photos without your consent (Article 17 of our General Terms and Conditions).
